Sample Training Session Notes

Each venue has two tablets and two scanners. The tablets should be put on charge when not in use.

Open the Popns App (Green Umbrella Logo)

Sessions vs Tracks, only the days sessions will appear. Use tracks for binding and info only.

Link the wrist band to the child

Select the correct track for the child

Enter the child's name, will show child's details

If child requires a pickup code scan or enter (open keypad to enter manually)

Scan the barcode to bind

You can bind multiple wrist bands to a child so that if they lose their band you just give them another and bind them again.

Once a wrist band has been used for a child it cannot be used again.

Select the Info tab

Enter the child's barcode or enter the name.

Select the session, only today's sessions are listed.

Select the IN tab

Scan the Child (it will allow you to scan the child multiple times but they are only counted once.)

On the website you will be able to see who has been scanned into a session and whether they are still present.

Select the session

Scan the pickup code if required (or enter the date of birth)

Scan the child

If it is successful let the child leave

You can press the keyboard icon to toggle the keypad open.

If you bind a child during scan in you must scan the child in on the same tablet as you did the binding. This is because it takes time for the binding to sync to all tablets.

Set the tablet display timeout to 10min.

You should have only one person dealing with lost wristbands and one just scanning in. This prevents missing wrist bands causing a delay in scanning in.
